I am a very good navigator. I never get lost. Sometimes I am not certain where I am or where the port is, but I am never lost. This is a chest I made to hold my navigation gear: The chest was made from left-over scrap after the ice chest project. I will probably replace the hinges and latch sometime when the plague fades. Some of the contents are: Quadrant and Astrolabe I bought. The white astrolabe I made and is actually more accurate than the one I purchased. When we take a ship, I must ask the captain to belay the loot and search the navigator's quarters for his gear. My rutter, a very valuable book. compass, telescope, lead-line, speed indicator, kamal from the Arabs, a shark tooth (there is a story about that) and on the white quadrant, various coinage from Reals to pieces of two, four and eight. I have other items inside and can do a talk on navigation during the Great Age of Piracy. Yes, I was once a teacher but people seem to frown on my keelhauling an impolite brat. I don't know why as the rest of the class becomes very polite and attentive.
