Found an interesting article on properly(?)holding the baroque violin. There is controversy questioning if the standard method of holding under the chin was as widely accepted back in the 16-1700's. www.baroque-violin.info/vhold1.htmlFiddle players chime in with your opinion. |

Watching " The Cantorville Ghost" 1944. Bout halfway thru one of the Army guys , uh , borrows a violin and saws out some wicked licks in the mid chest position.
