Picked this up at the local hobby shop today. Kit contains 2 100mm square steel sheets and instructions for @ $8. A larger scale available for @ $15. Maybe an hour or three to assemble, the tabs and slots are EXTREMELY tiny. Theres a couple of other sailing ships in the series and tons of other subjects. Yes, photo coming when complete Attachments:

About an hour in- Parts are all separated from their sheets by gentle flexing and twisting. Have the masts, life boats and deck mostly assembled. Will make a raid on the craft store tomorrow for jewelers pliers and some small square stock to use as a miniature bending brake. The bending lines are etched into the sheet metal or perforated all the way thru. Parts are surprisingly strong for their almost nonexistent size and thickness. Attachments:

No luck yet in finding tools small enough to do the job. The parts are tough but can be distorted with fat fingers and fat tools. Study the instructions carefully as its easy to attach something that blocks the attachment of something else. Looks like the stem and stern need to be tweeked and rolled a little bit. Blew up one of the pics so you can see the slots. The 2 u shaped things are the top of a standard razor knife blade. It's tiny Mates! Attachments:

Calling it a wrap on this tiny toy. Hands are just too far gone to mess with parts this tiny. Might try one 'o the larger scales at another time. If ye try one- Take yer time, read the instructions carefully... twice. Pay attention to the tabs, some get folded over, some get twisted 90 degrees. Attachments:

Noticed on Amazon there be several larger ships with much higher prices, 40-100 dollar range, and much higher parts counts. Think I saw 709 parts listed on one. There also a company doin' similar projects on thin printed foam board.

I bought one of those off Temu and was very unhappy with the result. Perhaps as a ship-in-bottle motif. But it was so tiny assembly was difficult.
