Hellova weekend! Stop n go traffic from Casa Grande to Phx, trashed pavement from Phx to Wickenburg, 100 mile detour from Wickenburg to Kingman. Reached the event @ 11am Saturday. Bout 30ish vendors, Half dozen big groups of pirates/clans. Very kid oriented event. 55 degrees, light wind, lottsa sun, big trees for shade. Didn't see (or didn't recognize) Mr. Gibbs out of costume, might have seen L Aronburg (Pintel). Stole as many ideas as possible. By 3pm I were well shot so wife dragged me off to peruse quilt shops. I'll print up photos of everything for the next group meeting, post a few here too. Its a 2 day event but we blew town and went old route 66 to Oatman. If ever a town needed a raid it's Oatman! Take the best of Old Tucson, Tombstone and Bisbee, and stuff it into a quarter mile tourist trap ghost town full of very tame/wild donkeys. Bout 30 miles southwest of Kingman, WAAY up in the mountains. Lots to see and decent prices for a tourist trap!
