Made a pass thru the LHS on 22nd and Kolb, Found a few items of Piratey interest. The old Aurora Blackbeard was there as were several of the old MPC "POTC" kits from the 70's. Just under $30 for each. Had a big selection of laser cut kits for all sorts of weird items, including the Hurdy Gurdy Kit we's looked at several months ago. $69 bucks on that one. Had several different kits of Civil War Submarines for @$50, not sure of the format(plastic, wood, resin?). It don't cost nuthin' to browse thru and look  |

Passed thru again this mornin'. Big changes in the stores layout. The Pirate models was mostly gone or out of stock, lots of OLD kits were rereleased for production and there's an incredible amount of large scale plastic airplane kits (at incredible prices) if that floats yer boat. Real good supply of hobby paints, adhesives and tools. Wooden ship models or plastic models of wooden ships...not so much. Times change. Crikey, I ain't never seen a $350 plastic airplane kit before  |
